One Fine Day To Play

Hey there, Tanisha here with a cute layout that I made in just minutes.  Sometimes I run short on time and find that it's difficult to labor over a page.  In those cases, I rely heavily on using quick and easy techniques to get a page done so I can move on to completing the million other things on my to-do list.
I used One Fine Day to draw muted shades of colors from the photo.  I cut the clock from vellum to help carry the theme of the layout and then added a little depth by inking the edges of the photo mat and added a little texture by using buttons and felt alphabet.

Cute right?  See, quick and simple doesn't have to be plain and boring!!

What's one of the first things that you think of when you think about Dad? Tools, right?! Just about every man I know has had to "tinker" with something...even my husband, who is not the handiest person in the world.  (Sorry babe, you have lots of other talents though)  So for Quick Quote's Father Inspiration I created this handy dandy tool box.

I started by painting the inside and then lightly inking it with Mocha Mama PowderPuff Chalking Ink.  I used mod podge to cover the body of the tool box with Tin Type 300 and inked the edges.

I inked chipboard alpha using Blue Hawaiian PowderPuff Chalking Ink and Mocha Mama Powedr Puff Chalking Ink.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope that special father in your life has a wonderful Father's Day!

QQ Journey Post

I'm here sharing nothera Quick Quotes post with you. I created this little mini album in preparation for my vacation.  I covered it with papers from Tin Type and inked the edges with PowderPuff Chalking Ink in Mocha Momma, so all I have to do is add photos and journaling!

I just one of the journaling blocks from Tin Type 500, inked the edges and layered it on the cover.  I cut the straps from Treasure Chest Vellum Overlay, adhered them to white cardstock strips and then to the cover.

I created this embellishment using the Bag O' Chips stackable flower pieces.  I inked each piece with Mango Mai Tai PowderPuff Chalking Ink and the edged with Mocha Momma PowderPuff Chalking Ink, then sporadically heat embossed with WOW embossing Powder.   I added a star brad to the center of the top piece and then adhered the layers with pop dots.

Here's a peek at the inside

...and the back cover
