Cosmo Cricket DT Hopeful...

It's that time again...Cosmo Cricket is choosing a few new scrappers to add to their design team and I've decided to throw my hat in the ring again! Fingers crossed!

Here are just a few of my favorite projects created using CC's super cute and fun papers, starting with a little sneaky teasey of the Fourth of July centerpiece I created for Purple Cows. I spruced it up with some shimmering spritz--I'll go further into detail as soon as I get the go ahead to post the project!

I love how versatile Cosmo Cricket papers are. You can really get funky and distress them to the max...

Or allow the papers to shine with clean lines. I'm always impressed with how easily different lines coordinate with one another. I used papers from Get Happy and Jack's World here on "X is for..."
Here I used the Ever After line here on a non-wedding layout. As I said...very versatile!

Having 2 boys, I am always looking for really cute "boy" papers and Cosmo Cricket never disappoints!

This is a card that I created from the Ever After line..now to find someone to give it to!

I just ordered the Early Bird line from Scrap-diner and can't wait until it arrives!!! So wish me luck on the DT call!

I Heart Faces Week 25

This week's photo challenge calls for Wedding Bell and those Just for fun pics!

This is a photo I took of my sister on her wedding day 2 years ago! I love it because she looks like a blushing bride!

My first born graduated from pre-school last Friday (weep weep). He, along with his other classmates entertained us with a number of skits. Here's my little sweetie pie doing his rendition of the Big Bad Wolf -- he was growling at one of the 3 little pigs. I laugh every time I see this because he looks a lot meaner than the Big Bad Wolf cutout that he's holding in his hands! Oh, I just love this little boy to pieces!

Thanks for taking a peek!

I Heart Faces - Let's Hear It For The Boys

This week's challenge at I Heart Faces is all about the boys! Pretty easy week for me since most of my photos are of boys...2 of the cutest little boys in the whole wide world to be exact (well, not including your boys of course LOL). The hard part was choosing which photo to use. I've featured this one on my blog before, but it's so nice I had to do it twice!

Donovan is so in love with the idea of being a big brother. He couldn't wait to get to the park on this particular day so he could push Xander on the swing. Although the focus of the photo is on Xander and that big joy filled smile of his, you can still get a glimpse of the big brother pride on Donovan's face.

I just love this picture of the two of them!

Thanks for taking a peek!

Confessions of a Multitasking Mom

OK, so I've realized for about a week now that I needed to wax; I haven't been able to go to my favorite salon during lunch because I've been busy running other errands (Walmart, the craft store, the bank etc...). I could have done it myself but at home I'm busy with the boys and when I finally get a moment to myself, I just want to sit and veg out...I mean my butt is literally plastered to the couch!

So what's a girl to do so as to not look like Chewbacka's 2nd cousin? Take the at home waxing kit to work!! During my morning break, I just popped it in the microwave in our locker room and waxed hoping that the lone guy working in the lab today doesn't catch me ripping those unsightly hairs from my brow bridge and upper lip! There are just some things that men do not need to know! LOL!

Shimmerz's Birthday Blog Hop

If you are participating in Shimmerz's blog hop and have arrived here from Stacy's blog, then you are well on your way. If you haven't and would like to participate in the blog hop for a chance to win approx. $80 in Shimmerz's product then you will want to go back and start at the Shimmerz blog then make your way to each Design Team member's blog, leaving comments and collecting all of the code words along the way.

We hope you have enjoyed celebrating with us!!!

In honor of this birthday celebration, I created a layout of my nephew blowing out the candles on his birthday cake. Don't you just love those animated cheeks?

I used Sea Foam Shimmerz Spritz on Heidi Swapp invisibles paper (see photo mat) and painted the polka dots on the ribbon with Shimmerz Blingz in Pixie Dust.

I created my own bling cardstock by spritzing Baby's Breath shimmering spritz on my cardstock. The foam thickers were painted with Pixie Dust Blingz.

Now for the moment that you've been waiting for...your final code word is TEAM

As an added bonus, I am giving away a $15 gift certificate to Scrapbook.com!! Anyone who comments in this post between now and midnight (EDT) Friday, June 19th will be eligible for the random drawing. I Heart Faces Week 23-Adult

This is my entry for the adult category--this is a photo taken of Troy's grandmother. Although her health has deteriorated in the past few years, she is still truly the matriarch of the Neal family.

Thanks for looking!

I Heart Faces Week 23

This week's challenge features sepia toned photos -- this is my entry for the kid's category. I just love the look of discovery on my Xan's face in this picture.

Castle Infatuation

Located in the heart of Magical Kingdom, Cinderella Castle is the iconic fairy-tale fortress that serves as the gateway to Fantasyland. I think it's quite obvious that I am totally in love with this beautiful, amazingly detailed structure. Watching the castle change colors at night made me feel like a little kid in awe of her favorite character!
