Catching Up

I don't know if it's the warm weather or the lack of mojo, but I just haven't felt like doing much in the way of blogging or scrapbooking. I've been spending a lot of time outdoors, putting a little more time at the gym, and desperately searching for a job, so it's been a long 2 weeks since I last posted any projects.

I hope to get back on track, but in the mean time, I have quite a few Cheery Lynn Designs projects to share with you today.

The first project is an 8x8 layout featurnig my handsome boys and Bella Blvd's Mr. Boy collection. I used several of the new dies that were released from CLD this month. To see more projects using the new dies, check out the blog.

Next up is a 12x12 layout featuring my "Little Monsters". This layout was published in the Summer issue of Scrapbooking & Beyond Magazine.

This layout was also created for the joint blog hop between Creative Imaginations and May Arts. I used Samantha Walker's Bloom collection.

How cool is that embossing plate? Perfect for Father's Day, right? I embossed a piece of Core'dinations cardstock and then lightly sanded the pattern to make it pop.

I used Jillibean Soup's Dutch mustard Soup collection on this "Thank You Bunches" card.

Scrapbooking & Beyond Pubs

Scrapbooking & Beyond Magazine has a new four part series called "Gadget Girls" where 4 designers (Liz Qualman, Pam Callaghan, Robbie Herring, and me) each create a layout using a specific tool. We each rocked out the i-rock tool by Imaginisce in the Spring issue.

We all know how much I love bling and getting to work with this tool was a lot fun!! The i-rock was really easy to work with, too. I used the frames stencil to create the scalloped border, glam rocks in rhinestuds, and hot rocks compacts in jewels on this layout.

supplies used: patterned paper- Bo Bunny; i-rock- Imaginisce; flowers- Petaloo; sticker- Creative Imaginations; rub-on- Karen Foster; Ink- Clearsnap; stickles- Ranger; Adhesive- Helmar; punches- EK Success; trimmer- Purple Cows

Enter Scrapbooking & Beyond Magazine's drawing for a chance to win YOUR VERY OWN i-rock tool, plus 3 stencil kits, 3 hot rocks compacts, and a handy dandy tote bag. Just head over to their website and fill out an entry form!!

This next layout was also published in the same magazine. It's the first time I've ever had more than one project in any given publication!! So exciting!!

The photos are of Xander when he was 10 days old.

supplies: patterned paper, rub-ons, stickers, wood veneer- Creative Imaginations; flowers- Petaloo; ink- Clearsnap; punches- Martha Stewart, Marvy Uchida; adhesives- Helmar; trimmer- Purple Cows

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!!

All About Cards

Hey bloggy friends!! Today's post is all about cards! I think I've said this before, but there was a time when I did not consider myself to be a card maker, but I've been making more than ever before. There are still some that are duds, but there are also a lot that I like...and even give away.

First up, I'm sharing a card that has been published in the Jan/Feb 2011 issue of Paper Crafts magazine. Have you seen the issue? It's brimming with GORGEOUS creations...I'm so honored to be among them.

Next, is a card I created for gonescrapbooking/examiner.com using Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather. I just love the how this line offers both traditional and non traditional color combinations.

Next up is a card that I created this card for Cheery Lynn Design. I plan to mail it to my friend who doesn't celebrate the holidays with a few updated pics of the boys inside.

I've had a ball playing with my CLD dies! I used French Flair, Snowflakes, and the 1/2" School Days Font to create this card. I had an attack of "lazy scrapperitis" and decided that I didn't have the patience to adhere each of those snowflakes individually. Instead, I arranged them on the panel, placed it in a hot pocket and laminated it using my Purple Cows laminator. It was so quick and easy...and neat!

Lastly, I made this laminated card holder for Purple Cows. For complete instructions to recreate this project click here.

You can see the pocket better from this angle.

See that little metal staple right there where the ribbon is? Well, that's something new coming from Purple Cows...it's fun and super easy to use, so keep your eyes peeled!

Thanks so much for dropping in today!! I really appreciate the time that you've taken out of your schedule to pay me a visit and leave comments!!

12 More days until Christmas...
