3 Weeks Until The Big Day Giveaway

I had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Troy, the boys and I had dinner at my sister's house with her boyfriend and 3 children, my Mother & Father-in-law, my mom, my little sis and her boyfriend. This was my first time meeting my baby sister's boyfriend, so of course we had a lot of laughs at his expense...that's just our way of initiating him. Last year it was my middle sister's boyfriend's turn. Man, I have jokes for days! LOL! Needless to say, we laughed so hard that my stomach and cheeks were hurting by the end of the night...and my belly was full of delicious food!

I made my famous macaroni and cheese, collard greens, and spinach dip for dinner at my sister's and a more extensive meal for my family so we could have as many leftovers as we wanted. Doesn't my turkey look delish? Funny enough, it's the only photo that I have from Thanksgiving day. I took my camera with me, but I always manage to get so caught up in helping my sister with the dinner preparations that I forget to play paparazzi!

My sister and I were among the crazies who were out searching for good Black Friday sales. I managed to complete 95% of the Christmas shopping for the boys, I just need to pick up some stocking stuffers. I'm so psyched about that.

Soon we'll hear the hooves of 8 (plus Rudolph) tiny reindeer on our rooftops.

Don't worry, I didn't kidnap Santa's tiny flight assistants. LOL! These are just a couple of pictures that I took of a family of 6 "rein" deer that I found hanging out in my backyard one day last month. The watched me closely as I snapped pictures, but once I took one step past their comfort zone, they took off.

Certainly, I can't leave you without sharing a project! I created this for gonescrapbooking/examiner.com using Basic Grey Wassail collection and Petaloo Chantilly flowers and velvet leaves. The photos are of some of the decorations that I put up for Christmas.

Three weeks until Christmas!! Can't wait!! Before I log off, I have a nice little giveaway. I received my box in the mail from Cheery Lynn designs earlier this week(OMG), which means I need to make room. I have a few products from Helmar and their preferred partners to give to one lucky reader. All you have to do is post a comment here before 11:59 PM Monday, December 6 to be eligible. I Heart Faces "Orange"

Before I get on with the I Heart Faces challenge, I wanted to post a reminder about the Disney Tangled giveaway that I have going on until the 24th of this month. Click here for details!!




It's been a while since I've posted a photo for an I Heart Faces challenge, but seeing as though the challenge this week was "orange" and Halloween just passed, I figured I had quite a few photos with the color orange in them.

I chose this one of my little pumpkin picker because there's just something about smiles where baby teeth and permanent teeth co-mingle that make smile. Kind of "jack-o-lantern-ish"...LOL!

Cards, Cards, and More Cards

I used my Purple Cows laminator and luggage tag hot pockets to create this travel match game for my boys. It's super fun and serves more than 1 purpose: Donovan can use it to play match game and Xander can use it to practice recognizing his shapes.

You can download full instructions for this project here. It's so quick and easy and your kids will love it!

I cut the shapes out using my Cricut, but you can use stickers, punches, or free hand the shapes.

I recently made a bunch of cards (10) for Paper Crafts Jan/Feb call and one was picked up!! YAY!

The next 4 cards were created using Bella Blvd's new lines, Lovey Dovey and Hello Beautiful.





The next 2 were created using Kaiser Crafts Le Chateau line. I absolutely love these colors, as a matter of fact this is the combination that I want in my living room (when we finally get it together).


I used a sketch by Paper Crafts for this Happy Birthday card.

The final 2 cards were created for Helmar.

I used Cosmo Cricket Joy Ride collection, glitter from PK Glitz, Clearsnap chalk ink, along with Helmar Premium Craft Glue, Zapdots, Gemstone Glue, and Fray Stoppa on my cards.

I covered the "HI" sentiment and edges on the "happy day" sentiment with gemstone glue, then coated with glitter to make them pop. I used zapdots to adhere the sentiments to the cards, Premium craft glue to adhere the ribbon and patterned paper, and Fray stoppa on the edges of the ribbon.

Another Birthday Giveaway

Do you know what today is?!! It's my birthday!!! For those of you who have followed my blog for a while now know how I like to celebrate my day. I give away gifts! Is there a better way to celebrate?

First up, I am giving away, not one, but 2 do-it-yourself projects: one is a 2 page layout and the other is a mini album in a bag!!! Each kit comes complete with all the supplies and full color instructions. All you need to add is adhesive and photos. You can get a glimpse of the completed projects in this blog post.

Imagine all of the fun stuff you can make with this!!!

This RAK is for the non paper crafters out there who pop in on my blog from time to time. This is a completed "Best Buddies" mini album created by me and a pink apron. All you have to do is purchase some adhesive and load the album up with your photos and show it off. It's the perfect little brag book. **Just let me know your not a paper crafter in your post.

I've always loved St. Patrick's Day--I don't know if it's because green is at the top of my favorite colors list or perhaps because my maiden name is Leary (thanks to some Irish ancestors Waaaaaaay down the line), so I had a blast coming up with this party idea. I created a St. Patrick's Day party invitation and an adorable leprechaun hat place setting using Purple Cows Smart Trimmer (1060) along with designer click blade 2811 and My Mind's Eye papers. I used this site to help me create the hat--I just came up with my own measurements.




I spritzed the buckle and the top portion of the card with gold glow smooch spritz and added a few clover stickers to complete the look!
