Shimmerz and paper Popsicles

I had the pleasure of mixing shimmerz in with some wonderful products from Paper Popsicles! I just loved the bright, cheery colors of this kit!

Shimmerz takes center stage on this thank you card! I started by painting a piece of white cardstock with Tickle Me Turquoise shimmerz to create my own bling cardstock.

I stamped the flowers onto patterned paper using Close To My Heart stamps, cut them out and painted with Pixie Dust blingz before adhering to the card. I think pixie dust is one of the most versatile of the blingz because you can paint over any patterned paper and still see the pattern...just with a little more sparkle!

For my layout, I used Baby's Breath and Tuscan Sun spritz and Pixie Dust Blingz. I wanted to tone down the brightness of the white in the background paper so that it coordinated with the other papers I used for this layout. I placed the background paper on a plastic bag and lightly spritzed the entire surface with Tuscan Sun shimmerz.

I dragged the torn edge of one of my patterned papers through the excess spritz that was left on the bag to get the look seen here.

I spritzed the ribbon with Baby's Breath Shimmerz-- I love the way it looks on satin ribbon.

I really wanted my blingz to stand out on the chipboard wings so I painted them with white acrylic paint first, then painted with 2 coats Baby's Breath blingz for that extra burst of bling.

Here's a close up of the left side of the layout. I tore small strips and then rolled them up. I loved the striped paper on the back and just wanted to show it off! (Just another way to add another pattern to my LO...)

I created this LO as a reminder to myself to keep my goals in focus. Here's a close-up of the collage of rub-on frames and phrases.

I hope these tips help you to get excited about trying Shimmerz products! Thanks for taking a peek!

Love all the details in your Soar layout, the wings and the assortment of tags and stickers and rubons on the right hand side, and the paper curling, fantastic work!!!

These are absolutely beautiful! I just love all of the details. I do that edge thing too with all Cosmo Cricket paper. If you use a sheet, you feel like you gave up the other side, so you HAVE to find a way to get it in there somewhere! :)
