It's December 1st!

Not only does that mean Christmas is a mere 24 days away and the new year just 1 month away...today is World AIDS Day! This is the day when individuals and organizations from around the world come together to bring attention to the global AIDS epidemic. 2008 marks the 20th anniversary of World AIDS Day. While we have come a long way since 1988, there is still much more to be done.

People living with HIV:

33 million people living with HIV worldwide

30.8 million adults

15.5 million women

2.0 million children under 15

New HIV cases in 2007:

2.7 million total new cases

2.3 million adults

370,000 children under 15

HIV-related deaths in 2007:

Do you know your status?

I live in New Jersey with my husband and our 2 sons. I work full time as a Medical Technologist and volunteer for the Community Emergency Response Team in my town. I've been scrapping for the past 8 years and I truly love it because it allows me to combine my love of photography and my love of paper into one art form. I love teaching scrapbook classes and providing freelance work. Please contact me via email if you are interested in commissioning my services: tanisharenee74@hotmail.com
