Reminisce Projects

I'm feelin' a li'l scrappy today. I know, I should be up and about getting some housework done, but I'm not feelin' that right now! I feel like scrapping and that's exactly what I did, it is my DAY OFF after all! Right?

The photos here are some of my faves of my guys. I love the fun, carefree expressions on both of their faces- Donovan sure knows how to bring out the kid in his daddy and that makes my heart happy! On this day, Donovan decided he wanted to play freeze tag in the snow, I laughed so hard everytime he got mad because Troy wouldn't stay still so he could tag him, he's a mess!

I love scrapping winter pages, probably because blue is my favorite colors of all!! These papers are from Reminisce's Snow Globe line- I love the circles and the distressed feel. As you can see here, I cut out some of the circles to form "frames" for smaller black and white photos. Love the pop of green in the paper. I added some green leg warmer thickers, a strip of savvynsassy's ribbon, some elements that I cut from the paper and Heidi Swapp's silhouette word and called it a day. This came together pretty quickly considering all of the fussy cutting I did.

I made this card for one of my newer online scrap friends for her birthday. It's bright and colorful, kinda like her and made with Reminisce's Party Girl Line! I colored the border by hand with a black pen- it took a while, but I like the way it looks against the red. (it's coming your way Sasha)

I've recently decided to actually give out of the cards that I make, especially to other scrappers and people who can appreciate how special a handmade card is. I met someone through AC Moore's forum who is running a card drive of sorts with her daughter. Their aim is to collect 500 blank, all occassion cards to send to the soldiers in Iraq so that they can have cards to send to their loved ones. What a great cause and as a small token of my thanks to the men and women who serve to protect our freedom, I sent her 20 cards.
That's all for now- thanks for stopping by!
