I created these 2 layouts back in April for Kaiser's design team call.
I've wanted to create a layout about the reason I volunteer for quite a while now. It's a service that I hold near and dear to my heart and one that I want to pass down to my sons. Years from now when they are looking over my scrapbook pages, I want them to have an understanding of the person that I am. This is the main reason that I am always "preaching" to other scrappers how important is it to do All About Me pages...your story deserves to be told.
My life philosophy is based on the quote, “If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way.” ~Napolean Hill
I am not rich in the monetary sense of the word, there are things in life that I want to acquire, there a lot of things that I want and may never have but volunteering always reminds me to appreciate the things that I have now!
The design of this layout is a lot simpler than what I normally create, but I wanted the photos of Xander crawling to take center stage.
journaling: Oh, we are in trouble now! You've finally learned to crawl and get into everything! The object of your attention here was the wire to Donovan's DS, you were determined to get it by any means necessary!

The winner of my last RAK has not come forward, so I'm drawing another name!
And the winner of the luscious loads of ribbon is......................

Congratulations on your GDT spot with Bo Bunny. I love your Alissa creations, so very pretty and inspirational. I also love your acrylic album, so many ideas there :)

"Your story deserves to be told", I like that a lot! Yet another reason I'm excited about raking in the dough (eventually) so that I can commission you to do some of your fly templates for me and my family.
We believe in volunteering too. It's one sure way to stay in touch with your community and find constant reasons to give thanks for whatever you have, despite wanting more.
big hugs and congratulations on your GDT!!! way to go, tanisha!
T - take a layout you have already created and scrap it again using different products and I think "way will lead onto way" and you will end up with a new original design. See the movie Finding Forrester for the same example, but about writing. Or... come by my blog for a sketch - hee, hee. Hope you find your muse again soon. I sometimes wonder if my muse is just two timing me and that's why she disappears for extended periods of time :) Liz
Tanisha, LOVE these layouts! I agree with Liz...scraplift yourself! You'll be so inspired! PLUS, it seems we're gonna have new stuff soon to scrap with, eh? :D YEEHA!!
Oh wow, that's my name you drew in your second chance draw!! Sending you an email now.
Loving your Volunteer layout, I agree it's so important to scrap about yourself. Unfortunately it's something I have trouble doing, but I'm working on it :) Thanks for the inspiration.
Lovin' these pages lady!!!
It must be the time of year - we all lose our mojo at some point. It's scrapper "burn out" - give yourself a break, take some new photos and it will come back ;)
Tanisha, you'll get your mojo back soon - we all need a break now and then to get inspiration back. So now you're tweetin? Where do you ladies find the energy to blog, chat, tweet, toot, or whatever. LOL Have a wonderful weekend and I love your newest layouts - I'm into green - they are awesome!!
Girl! Your mojo woll return, lol, we all go through it, sometimes I just take random pics of the kids to see what I come up with, instead of the ones I already have. Love what you have been doing so far though!
Tanisha~
